Talakag, Bukidnon

Talakag is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Bukidnon on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. It has 67 123 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 29 barangays. It belongs to the first class of income communities in the Philippines and is described as a partially urbanized.

Your neighboring municipalities are Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City to the northwest, Lantapan the east and Baungon in the Northeast. Valencia City is located in the southeast, and Kalilangan Pangantucan in the south. To the west it borders the province of Lanao del Sur. The topography of the parish is described as mountainous with large canyon -like valleys and large plateaus. In the east the mountains of Mount Kita Glad and southeast lies the mountain range of Mount Kalatungan. On the mountain slopes of the Kalatungan stems from the Cagayan River.

The Mount Kitanglad Range Natural Park is located in the east of the district; located in the southeast of Mount Kalatungan Range Natural Park. The Borantawan Cave is located in Sitio Bita -ug, Barangay Lantud about 24 km outside of the community center. She has a nearly vertical entry and is about 1,000 meters long.
