Tatra 90

The Tatra 90 was the prototype of a mid-size cars, the Tatra factory in Nesselsdorf built in 1935.

The vehicle had air-cooled four-cylinder OHC boxer engine of the SUV Type 82 with 2490 cc and 55 hp ( 40 kW). The front -mounted engine driving a single-plate dry clutch and four-speed transmission with synchronized 3rd and 4th gear to the rear wheels. The new top speed was 90 km / h The chassis had a central tube, a front axle with transverse leaf spring and swing axles at the rear, also with a transverse leaf spring.

The four-door, six-seater saloon building was 77 rounded streamlined to model the previously created type at front and rear, but had - like the VW Beetle - still separate fenders with integrated headlights and running boards.

Probably two test vehicles were manufactured.
