Tönet, ihr Pauken! Ring out, trumpets! ( BWV 214 BC or G19 ), also known as Queen Cantata, is a secular cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach.

Formation

The work was performed on December 8, 1733 Congratulations Cantata on the occasion of the birthday of Maria Josepha, Electress of Saxony and Queen of Poland, with the subtitle dramma per musica. Sentences 1, 5, 7 and 9 were re-used with other text and only minor musical adjustments in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd part of the Christmas Oratorio after Kontrafakturverfahren and thus have experienced widespread.
