Töreboda Municipality

Töreboda is a municipality (in Swedish: kommun ) in the Swedish province of Västra Götaland County and the historic province of Västergötland.

Geography

The territory of Töreboda is a relationship of the Ice Age hill country. Along the boundary of the municipality some lakes to the west of the lake Törboda Ymsen, in the southwest of bird lake Easts in the northeast of the lake Unden and to the southeast of Lake Viken. From Viken, the highest waters of the Göta Canal, the channel moves to the northeast through the capital Töreboda where the main railway line between Stockholm and Gothenburg crosses the canal.

In Älgarås, 18 kilometers north of the central place Töreboda, struck King Sverker Karlsson 1205 an uprising of the pretender to the throne of the family of Erik's down.

Economy

The community Töreboda has an above-average proportion of agricultural workers, but also the industrial sector is strong. It is dominated by mainly small and medium enterprises.
