Trujillanos FC

Trujillanos Fútbol Club is a Venezuelan football club from Valera. The club was founded in 1981 and plays its home matches at the Estadio José Alberto Pérez, which seats 24,000 spectators. Trujillanos FC has never Venezuelan football champion and currently plays in La Liga, the top division in Venezuela.

History

The association Trujillanos FC was founded on 25 August 1981 in Valera. After some time in the lower leagues of Venezuelan football is increased 1988/89 the first time in the Primera División. In the first Erstligasaison Trujillanos FC reached the eleventh of sixteen squares, what the relegation meant. The following season was well designed with a tenth place in the table. The 1991/92 season was the most successful so far in the history of Trujillanos FC. Only one year later, the club name changed due to a further relocation but again, this time in Deportivo Trujillanos after moving to El Vigia. Under the new name of the association could not build on the achievements of previous years and had to be satisfied in the following years, with places in midfield. For the season 2003/ 04 they changed the venue again and went back to Valera and called again Trujillanos FC. 2007/ 08, the club had to dismount for the first time ever in the second division, but was able to celebrate the re-emergence after a year. The 2009/10 season, the first post-emergence, was also very successful for the effect Trujillanos FC that you could win the Venezuelan Football Cup for the second time.

By national success Trujillanos FC took part twice each at the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana. In the Copa Libertadores 1995, the club was eliminated in the first round after the last course was demonstrated in a group with Club Cerro Porteño and Club Olimpia of Paraguay, and the league rivals FC Caracas. 2002, in the second part in the Libertadores Cup, the club did not survive the qualification. The same fate befell the team Trujillanos FC in the Copa Sudamericana 2005. 2010 it was qualified for the first round and failed there to Atlético Huila from Colombia.
