Two Harbors is a small town ( with a status of "City" ) and the administrative seat of Lake County in the northeast of the U.S. State of Minnesota. In 2010, Two Harbors had 3745 inhabitants.

Geography

Two Harbors is located northeast of Duluth on the shore of Lake Superior. According to the United States Census Bureau, the area of the city is 8.3 km ². About 20 kilometers north of Gooseberry Falls State Park is located.

History

Founded in 1902 in Two Harbors Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company. Later, 3M moved to Duluth and is now a global company with headquarters in St. Paul. In addition, the city has a port which has been used extensively, especially in the 20th century.

Demographic data

According to the census in 2010 lived in Two Harbors 3745 people in 1649 households. The population density was 451.2 inhabitants per square kilometer. In the 1649 households lived statistically 2.19 per person.
