Týniště (Plzeň-South District)

Týniště ( German Tinischt ) is a municipality with a population of 53 in the Czech Republic. It is located 10 kilometers south-east of Prestice and belongs to Okres Plzeň -jih. The land area is 810 hectares.

Geography

The place is located in 530 m above sea level. M. east brook in a hillside overlooking the valley of Zlatý. To the north rises the 571 m high hill Neverná.

Neighboring towns are Újezd ​​in the north, and Kbelnice Letiny in the northeast, Lázně Letiny in the east, in the southeast Skašov, Luh in the west and Horšice in the northwest.

History

The first mention was in 1582, when a the Mikuláš Nebílovský of Drahobuz associated Pustá place or yard Pustý. 1603 inherited the property, which included Příchovice whose three sons. 1649 inherited Krystof Příchovský Příchovice the village, after whose death it fell again to the Nebílovský. Finally, the Imperial Council and captain of the circle of Prachin, Friedrich Schwihau by Riesenberg, Týniště bought. 1716 acquired the later captain of the Pilsen district, Heinrich Anton Henniger of Seeberg, the village of Frederick's granddaughter Maria Josepha Lobkowicz. He was succeeded by Jan Karel of Kokorov, the Týniště 1740 to the rule Žinkovy joined.

1789 were in the valley of Zlatý Potok, a water mill and built a glass factory, where the hamlet Luh emerged. After the replacement of patrimonial Týniště in 1850 an independent village.

After 1837 the glassworks went down in Luh and in their place created in 1898 a forester's house. The mill was destroyed in 1889 during a dam failure, in which the miller Zeigler drowned with his family. 1880 lived in the village of 175 people who worked mostly in agriculture. 1918, Karel Škoda, landlords Žinkovy to build a steam mill in Luh. 1929, the old wooden chapel was demolished in Týniště and replaced by a new building.

1990 Týniště regained its independence and 1991 was the renovation of the chapel.
