Unstruttal (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft)

The administrative community Unstruttal was an administrative community in the castle district in the south of Saxony- Anhalt.

History

The administrative community Unstruttal was established on 1 January 2005. In this management community to communities had Freyburg country Lauchagrund merged from the former management communities in the Unstrut ( excluding the municipalities Golzen and Thalwinkel ) and Mean Unstrut ( excluding the municipalities Memleben and Wohlmirstedt ). Office of the Management Community was Freyburg ( Unstrut).

By municipality changes on 1 July 2009, the number of municipalities was reduced from 19 to 7

On 1 January 2010, the administrative community was dissolved. The member municipalities went up in the newly formed community association Unstruttal.

Coat of arms

Blazon: " Argent, of blue wave beams obliquely divided, above a leafy green grape, below a green disc, sprinkled with a silver disc, three silver bows and silver dots. "

The coat of arms symbolism based on the name " Unstruttal " and includes a blue wave beam as a reference to the Unstrut. As the wine and the related industry was a major characteristic of the region around Freyburg and was further added a leafy bunch of grapes in the coat of arms. Based on the most significant archaeological find of the soil present, the Sky Disc of Nebra is also included stylized. In order not to violate the copyright, the Sky Disc is artistically abstracted and displayed in color alienated and is named in the blazon only as a "slice".

The coat of arms was designed in 2006 by the Magdeburg Kommunalheraldiker Jörg Mantzsch.
