Geography

Untrasried lies in the Allgäu region in Günztal and is the westernmost municipality of the district Ostallgaeu. On the southern outskirts of the village rises the Western Günz. After about thirty kilometers, they united in Egg an der Gunz with the Eastern Günz to Günz, which flows into the Danube at Günzburg.

There are the following districts: Hopferbach, Untrasried.

History

Untrasried belonged to the prince pin Kempten. Since the Imperial Diet of 1803 the place belonged to Bavaria. Created in 1818 with the Gemeindeedikt the church today.

Incorporations

On April 1, 1974, until then independent municipality Hopferbach left voluntarily after eingemeinden Untrasried.
