Útušice

Útušice ( German Autuschitz ) is a municipality with 555 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south of the center of Plzen, at the Úhlava and belongs to Okres Plzeň -jih. The land area is 1566 ha

Geography

The place on the outskirts of Plzen is 335 m above sea level. M. on the left bank of the creek in the valley of the Úhlava Útušický. North of the village is the town of Plzen bypass the D 5/Europastraße 50 highway with the Úhlavatalbrücke. To the east on the opposite Úhlavaufer the hill Val on (434 m), through which the highway tunnel Valík leads. North West motorway exit Plzeň- jih is for Europe road 53/Staatsstraße 27 from Pilsen to Prestice. South passes the state road 180 from Stary Plzenec after Dobřany.

Neighboring towns are Radobyčice in the north, Černice in the northeast, Štěnovice in the east, Robcice in the south, the west and Šlovice Litice in the northwest.

History

The origins of the village date back to the 13th century. To a farmstead built up over the years, other Kaluppen. For the first time documentary evidence which at the time comprised of some 15 to 20 large farms village is in 1393rd owners were several noble families, long time, the village belonged to the reign Štěnovice. Over the centuries Útušice remained a farming community. The place name varied between Hautušice, Hutušice, Houtušice, Hutuší, Huduší, Autušice, Outušice and since 1875, the current name prevailed. In German, Autuschitz was used.

After the abolition of patrimonial Autuschitz lived in 1850 into an independent municipality in which about 230 people. 1920, the population had risen to 507.

In the 1950s, the peasants were collectivized and Útušice became the seat of an agricultural cooperative that built a cattle barn facility in 1954. In the 1960s, the school was closed down and transferred the pupils by Štěnovice.
