Weightlifting at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's 94 kg

The Men's Weightlifting in the class to 94 kg ( Medium weight) at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held on 4 August 2012 at the Exhibition Centre London. It occurred in 21 athletes.

The competition consisted of two parts: Tear ( Snatch ) and put ( Clean and Jerk ). The participants were divided into two groups at first in the snatch, in which they had three attempts. Who did not have a valid attempt was eliminated. In pushing each starter had three attempts again. Won The athlete with the highest weight added together. In the event of a tie, the lower body weight tipped the scales.

Anatolie Cîrîcu won the first medal of Moldova in this weight class. Winner Ilya Ilyin could improve the hitherto valid Olympia Rekord (226 kg) to 2 kg already in the second trial in the thrusting. In the third attempt, he succeeded in the world record (232 kg) to improve by 1 kg. Before his third attempt, he had also improves the previously operated a world record in the duel already 1 kg to 413 kg. The Ukrainian Artem Ivanov did not attend without giving reasons on compulsory weighing of the athletes just before the start of the competition and was therefore disqualified.
