Wiener Neustadt Train Station, with over 700 trains and 25 000 passengers of the busiest station in Lower Austria. Concourse

The station has ten platforms (1-9, 21). Presence

The new building of the railway station of 55.3 million euros was successfully completed. The station building itself was totally demolished and rebuilt, the platforms were renovated. Past

With the opening of the railway line from Vienna to Wiener Neustadt on June 20, 1841 and the Wiener Neustadt main station went into operation. The station has always been a major transportation hub in Southern Lower Austria.

The old two-storey station building (second floor was a restaurant) was at the end of the 20th century largely completely run down and was experienced by many in the population as an eyesore in the city. In addition, you had to get to the platforms, first leave the building to get to the underpass. Escalators and elevators did not exist.
