History

Founded in 1947 as Wisła Płock, the club was in 1992 in Petrochemia Płock, renamed in 1999 in Petro Płock and in 2000 in Orlen, before they gave the team again in 2002 to its original name.

Wisła Płock is one of the most successful teams of recent Polish handball history.

Football Division

So far, the team was denied a title in the championship in the 2004/05 season reached to the 4th Place. The greatest success was achieved by the team by winning the Polish Cup football 2006 against Zagłębie Lubin. International Wisła Płock failed 2003/ 04 in the qualification for the UEFA Cup to FK Ventspils. On the final day of the Ekstraklasa 2006/ 07 Wisła Płock was relegated to the Polish lower house. In the 2009/10 season the relegation followed in the third-class 2nd League Group East, however, succeeded immediately the rise.

The traditional club colors are blue and white.

Handball Department

The first men's team plays in the highest division of Poland, PGNiG Superleague mężczyzn. She took 2004/ 05, 2005/ 06 and 2006/ 07 at the EHF Champions League, but different from each in the preliminary round. Feared International is the euphoric mood known " Sports Hall " Wisła Płock from where the team, for example, in the 2005/06 season even hit the THW Kiel. 2008/ 09 different Wisła devoid of points in the first group stage. 2011/12 was achieved in the Champions League after finishing fourth in the first round the second round, where the THW Kiel is the enemy again.
