Geography

Geographical location

Wutoeschingen is located on the southeastern edge of the Black Forest in 365-583 meters above sea level, only a few kilometers from the district town of Waldshut- Tiengen. In the east Wutoeschingen borders the Unterklettgau and thus to Switzerland ( Canton of Schaffhausen ). Guideline for the villages and inter-regional traffic is, as the name suggests, the valley of Wutach that flows towards south-southwest to the Rhine. History

Like the Upper Rhine area and the Unterklettgau includes the lower Wutachtal due to the favorable climate to the populated since prehistoric periods. Stone axes of the Stone Age and smaller artifacts were found here.
