Melbourne Village is a city in Brevard County in the U.S. state of Florida with 662 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Geography

The city is bordered by the cities of Melbourne and West Melbourne. Melbourne Village is located about 50 km south of Titusville and about 90 km southeast of Orlando.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 662 inhabitants distributed in 330 households. The population density was x inh. / Km ². 96.7 % of the population were white, 0.2% African American, 0.6 % Native American and 1.7 % Asian Americans. 0.9% were members of other ethnic groups. 3.3% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 44.9 % of all households lived in 16.3 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 68.4 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.20 persons and the average family size is 2.59 people.

Traffic

West Melbourne is affected by the U.S. Highway 192 (SR 500). The Melbourne International Airport is located just north of the city.

Crime

The crime rate in 2010 was 72 points ( U.S. average: 266 points ) in the low range. There were two burglaries and eight thefts.
