Viera West is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Brevard County in the U.S. state of Florida with 6,641 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Viera East is located approximately 30 km south of Titusville and about 70 kilometers east of Orlando. The CDP is affected by Interstate 95.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 6,641 inhabitants distributed to 3,020 households. The population density was 287.5 inh. / Km ². 85.2 % of the population were white, 5.5% African American, 0.2% Native American and 4.7 % Asian Americans. 1.5% were members of other ethnic groups and 2.9% in different ethnic groups. 10.3% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 30.5 % of all households lived in 33.7 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 74.1 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.48 persons and the average family size is 2.90 people.

26.0% of the population were younger than 20 years, 21.5% were 20-39 years old, 27.8 % were 40-59 years old and 24.9 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 42 years. 48.9 % of the population were male and 51.1 % female.

The average annual income was 86 786, while 7.6 % of the population lived below the poverty line.
