Rittershoffen

Rittershoffen is a municipality with 888 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in Alsace region of France. She is a member of the Communauté de communes du Hattgau et environs. The street village situated in a hilly landscape, which is used for agriculture. The departmental road D28 combines Rittershoffen with Kuhlendorf and Hatten. The 1227 first mentioned community was known by bitter fighting in January 1945, where it was largely destroyed ( see company Northwind).
