SM U 65 was a diesel-electric submarine of the German Imperial Navy, which was used in the First World War.

U 65 was launched on March 21, 1916 at the Germania shipyard in Kiel from the stack and was put into service on May 11, 1916. The commander of the submarine were Hermann von Fischel (May 11, 1916 - July 18, 1918 ), Gustav Siess (August 19, 1918 - September 29, 1918 ) and Clemens winding (September 30, 1918 - October 28, 1918 ).
