1963 ABC Championship
The basketball Asia Championship 1963 ( officially: FIBA Asia Championship 1963) was the second edition of this tournament and took place from 20 November to 2 December 1963 in Taipei, Republic of China instead. It was organized by FIBA Asia, the Asian Basketball Federation.
Preliminary round
In the preliminary round, eight teams played against each. The winner of the match was awarded two points, the loser one point.
Because Thailand and Malaysia had the same score, a play-off for third place 4 was played.
Final round
The four best in the preliminaries played in the final round for the places 1-4, all others for the places 5-8. The results from the preliminary round were taken with in the final round.

Because Philippines and Taiwan had the same score, the champion was determined in a playoff.
