1993 ABC Championship
The basketball Asia Championship 1993 ( officially: FIBA Asia Championship 1993) was the 17th edition of this tournament and was held from November 12 to 21 in Jakarta, Indonesia instead. It was organized by FIBA Asia, the Asian Basketball Federation. The tournament was attended by 18 teams. The top two teams qualified for the World Basketball Championship in 1994.

Preliminary round
The preliminary round was played in two groups of four teams and two groups of five teams. The winner of the match was awarded two points, the loser one point. The top two of each group played in the final round for the places 1-8. The third - and fourth-placed play for places 9-16. The last of the five groups played against each other for 17th place
