2003–04 Kazakhstan Hockey Championship
The 2003/04 season was the twelfth season of the Kazakh hockey professional league. It took six clubs that featured a total of seven teams in the competition. The title of the Kazakh champion secured for the eleventh time in total Kaszink - Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk. Ust- Kamenogorsk won for the fifth time in a row the championship. In parallel, the Kazakh Hockey Cup was held for the third time, the Ust-Kamenogorsk also won, and thus the third double in a row perfectly made .
Mode
The seven participants played in a four- round, so that each team came up with the number of 24 games. The team with the most points at the end secured the championship.
For a victory in the regular time of 60 minutes, a team got two points, the losing opponent went away empty-handed. Event of a tie, each team received one point.
Final Table
After the 24 rounds Kaszink - Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk secured sovereign the title. The team won 22 of their 24 games, defending the title. Last year's runner- Kasachmys Karaganda had to cede second place at Gornjak Rudny. Rudny thus was first runner-up. Kaszink - Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk and Karaganda Kasachmys played during the season in parallel in the second-rate Russian Wysschaja league. The second teams Ust- Kamenogorsks and Karaganda ran on the third-rate Russian Perwaja league. Moreover, took Kaszink Torpedo Ust- Kamenogorsk and Karaganda Kasachmys first two Kazakh team at the IIHF Continental Cup in season 2003/ 04 part. While Karaganda failed in the first round, Ust- Kamenogorsk was already set for the second round and reached the semifinals for the first time.
