2007–08 UEFA Women's Cup
The UEFA Women's Champions League 2007/ 08 was the seventh playout of the European Champion competition for women's football clubs. With 45 participants, a new record was set. For the first time took teams from Georgia and Malta in the competition. In the finale, in which both sides met for the third time after 2002 and 2004, the first FFC Frankfurt was 1:1 and 3:2, prevail against the Swedish champions Umea IK, who was in the finals for the fifth time and its third title win.

First round
At the first qualifying round was attended by 40 clubs. These teams were divided before the draw along geographical lines into two sectors of twelve and a sector with 16 teams. A total of ten groups were drawn of four teams each. The group winners and the best runners qualified for the second round. The tournaments were held to 14 August 2007 of 9.

2nd round
In the second round, the top four seeds and the defending national champion intervened into the action. The group winners and runners reached the quarter- finals. The tournaments were held to 16 October 2007 of 11.

The group winner was drawn, as Brøndby and Lyon have under any applicable criteria for determining the placement of a tie.
Quarterfinals
The first legs took place on 21 and 22 November 2007 on 14 and 15, the return games.
Semifinal
The first legs took place on 5 and 6 April 2008 on 29 and 30 March, the return games.
Final
The first leg was held on 17, the second leg on 24 May 2008. Both teams faced off for the third time against the final.
First leg
After just twelve seconds into the match, the Player of the Year Marta put the hosts ahead. The Brazilian took advantage of this an oversight of the Frankfurt back line and scored the UEFA Women's the fastest goal Cup history. As early as the sixth minute was followed by the response of the guests. Petra Wimbersky sat on the left side through, crossed to the inside, and Conny Pohlers scored the equalizer. In the following years, both teams provided an open game in which the technical superiority of the Swedes became clear. In the second half, Umeå earned a lot of chances, but failed due to the strong Silke Rottenberg in the Frankfurter Tor. The guests were limited to counter-attack football, but not earn compelling ways.
