2012–13 2. Bundesliga

The 2012/13 season the 2nd Bundesliga was the 39th season of the second highest German league in men's football. They began on 3 August 2012 and ended on 19 May 2013. Relegation games between the sixteenth day of the Bundesliga and the third in the Bundesliga 2 were for 23 and 27 May, 2013, the games between the sixteenth day of the second Bundesliga and the third party of the 3rd league for 24 and 28 May 2013, sets. From December 18th 2012 to January 31, 2013, the season was interrupted by a winter break.

Master was Hertha BSC with nine points ahead of Mitaufsteiger Eintracht Braunschweig. The 1st FC Kaiserslautern missed in the relegation ascension. Severed bottom side was the SSV Jahn Regensburg, the descent directly back to the 3rd league. Second was relegated MSV Duisburg, the end of the season for economic reasons, the license was revoked. Beneficiary of this situation was the athletic relegated SV Sandhausen, which thus plays next season in the 2nd Bundesliga. Dynamo Dresden had already secured prior to this decision in the relegation as the first second division since its reintroduction in the league.
