46664 (concerts)
46664 is a global campaign of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, which aims to increase awareness about AIDS and encourage people to fight against this disease. " 466/64 " the prisoner number of Nelson Mandela on Robben Island prison was Iceland ( the 466th prisoner who was detained in 1964 ). The active since 2002 campaign has attracted attention especially with the organization of large music festivals.
At the choice of the motto Mandela said:
" 466/64 was 18 years my prison number when I was a prisoner on Robben Iceland. I was known only as a number. Today, millions ( HIV ) infected people are just that: a number "!
