Eastern Roman Empire and restorations imperii
- Restorations imperii: Given its hopeless military situation capitulates the Vandal king Gelimer, the last of Numidia operated from before the Byzantine troops of Belisarius. The conquest of the Vandal kingdom is now complete; the Balearic Islands, Corsica ( conquered by Cyril ) and Sardinia fall to Ostrom. Gelimer is presented in Constantine Opel in a triumphal procession, and then banished to an estate in Asia Minor.
- The ruler of the Ostrogothic kingdom Amalasuntha is forced after the death of the young Athalaric by her cousin Theodahad to appoint him as co-regent.
