Acht van Chaam

The Eight van Chaam is a swept in the Dutch Chaam cycling criterion.

The criterion is always held on the first Wednesday after the end of the Tour de France, usually in late July instead. The course, which starts and finishes at the local church, is four kilometers long and has 25 times are negotiated so that the starters have traveled a total distance of 100 kilometers at the end.

For the first time the race was held in 1933 for professional cyclists. Between 1994 and 1997 it was part of the official race calendar of the UCI and the course had a length of twelve miles. Since 1998 it is again as a criterion.

Record winner of the race, the Belgian Karel Kaers and Rik Van Steenbergen and the Dutch local favorite Jo de Roo, each with three victories.
