Alcée Louis la Branche

Alcée Louis la sector (* 1806 in New Orleans, Louisiana; † August 17, 1861 in Hot Springs, Virginia ) was an American politician. Between 1843 and 1845 he represented the state of Louisiana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

The exact date of birth of Alcée la sector is unknown. He studied at the Université de Sorèze Sorèze (France). After returning to Louisiana he was working as a planter and politician; He was a member of the Democratic Party. From 1831 to 1833 he was a member and President of the House of Representatives from Louisiana. In the years 1837-1840 he was an American envoy in the independent Republic of Texas since 1836 by Mexico.

In the congressional elections of 1842 he was in the second electoral district of Louisiana in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he succeeded John Bennett Dawson took up on March 4, 1843, who moved to the third district.
