On the same day he played his first NHL game for the Pittsburgh Penguins when he was substituted in the 24th minute and only allowed one goal on 13 shots on his goal.

In 2010 he returned back to Magnitogorsk shortly before the Traingslager of the Pittsburgh Penguins, he took part in September 2010, which sent him back to the Tri -City Americans in the WHL. After three games, he left the team and signed in November 2010 a contract with the Mississippi RiverKings in the Central Hockey League. In January 2011, it took the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Pittsburgh's farm team, for a try-out contract. However, for this, he completed no game and then decided to return to Russia.
