Yaroslav Kosov

Jaroslaw Alexeyevich Kossow (Russian Ярослав Алексеевич Косов; * July 5, 1993 in Magnitogorsk ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the Kontinental Hockey League since 2011.

Career

Jaroslaw Kossow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the Metallurg Magnitogorsk. In KHL Junior Draft 2010 he was appointed by his hometown club in the third round selected as the 70th overall player, so his transfer rights could not be acquired by another KHL team. For the boys team of Metallurg he was active in the 2010/11 season in the multinational junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja league. In this, he scored a total of 59 games in 28 scorer points, including 17 goals, and reached with the team the playoff final for the Kharlamov Cup. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2011 in the fifth round as the 124th overall player of the Florida Panthers.
