Allen Stack

Allen McIntyre Stack ( born January 23, 1928 in New Haven, † September 12, 1999 in Honolulu ) was an American swimmer.

At the Olympic Games in London in 1948, he was over 100 m backstroke Olympic champion. He also 1948-1951 on six world records and 22 American records. At the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, he had to compete due to an accident with a motor boat with a bandage so that he missed the medals scarce. In 1979 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.

Allen Stack died in 1999 from bone cancer.
