Arno Bieberstein

Arno Bieberstein ( born October 24, 1884 in Magdeburg, † July 7, 1918 ) was a German swimmer.

In his career of starting for the SC Hellas Magdeburg float was at the German Championships 1905-1907 three consecutive times German champion in the 100 m backstroke. At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 he won the gold medal in the 100 m backstroke.

Professional Bieberstein worked as a banker. In 1988 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
