Harry Hebner

Harry J. Hebner ( born June 15, 1891 in Chicago, Illinois, † October 12, 1968 in Lake Worth, Florida ) was an American swimmer.

At the Olympics 1908 he won the bronze medal with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay, four years later he was at the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 to win the 100m back carry and thus be Olympic champion. With the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay also he won the silver medal.

Hebner was at the Olympic Games 1920, the standard bearer of the U.S. Olympic team when he again at the Olympic Games, this time took up water polo. In 1968 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
