Community name

The name on the Post Road is derived from the town passing through so-called " old post road " between Leipzig and Kassel. This was until the construction of the " Frankfurt- Leipzig - road " on Eckartsberga, Gernstedt and Kösen in 1806 of great traffic engineering significance.
