Andy Böhme

Andy Böhme ( born April 26, 1970 in Salzwedel ) is a former German Skeleton pilot.

Andy Böhme of the BSR Rennsteig Oberhof was formed within the high performance physical education in the GDR. From 1990 to 1992 he ran as a hobby Bobsleigh and Skeleton sports changed in 1992. From 1994 to Böhme part of the German national squad. He made his debut in January 1993 in a World Cup in Oberhof ( 27 ). It took until December 1997 before he first came in fifth in the top ten in a race in La Plagne. In February 1999 he won his only World Cup race in Koenigssee. 1997/98 he joined the World Cup as third, 1998/99 and 1999/ 2000, he won two seasons in succession competition. After disc problems, the trained physiotherapist could not start the following season. Slowly Böhme tried to find information about the European Cup connection. He won here since January 2001 four races and the overall title of the 2000/01 season. However, to summarize again in the World Cup foot His attempts no longer came with the old successes.
