Artis Ābols

Artis Ābols ( born January 3, 1973 in Riga, Latvian SSR ) is a former Latvian ice hockey player. Since end of his career he has worked as a trainer and is since 2012 head coach at Dinamo Riga of the Kontinental Hockey League.

Career

Artis Ābols began his career in 1991 with RASMS Riga, but changed during the 1991/92 season to Pārdaugava Riga. For this club, he was active until 1996 in the International Hockey League ( MHL ).

Between 1996 and 2004 he played in Scandinavia, among other things, for the Nittorps IK, IK Odense, Nyköping Hockey 90 and Vojens IK.
