Audi A1 ( since 2010)
The Audi A1 ( internal type designation 8X ) is a supermini car produced by Audi, which was launched on 4 March 2010 at the Geneva Motor Show the public. The vehicle is technically based on the VW Polo V, the first deliveries took place in September 2010.
- 7.1 A1 e -tron
At the beginning of the A1 was only available as a three-door hatchback. On 11 February 2012, the five-door Sportback version, which is available for purchase since mid-November 2011 followed. In addition to the equipment lines numerous optional extras are possible. There are also various multimedia supplements as an MMI navigation system with 6.5 -inch TFT color screen or a Bose surround sound system with 465 watts of output power.
The design study was presented on 19 October 2008 at the Paris Motor Show and is similar to the shape of the Audi A3. The series production of 500 vehicles per day was planned from the autumn of 2009 at the plant in Brussels.
Audi had initially expected a sales figure of 50,000 vehicles for 2010 and so many made . Of these, 28,000 were admitted, of which in Germany 40 % were dealer or Audi itself. BMW sold 42,000 copies in the same period from the Mini. Until September 2010, over 2,000 vehicles were sold in Germany. The financial report H1 2011 Audi admits to have sold 63 518 A1 (from 660 446 Audi total, of which 140,699 in China including Hong Kong). The ' Interim Report for the third quarter of 2011 ' reported 88 784 deliveries to customers in the first nine months of 2011 (previous year: 7,411 ).
For 2011, Audi aimed at a global sales volume of 120,000 units and was also planning to enter the market of the A1 in China.
In the first half of 2012, sales stagnated with 64 413 units, despite the development of new markets and the introduction of the five-door Sportback model variation at the level of the same period last year with 63.106 vehicles delivered.
After 32 years there is again a small car from Audi. The Audi 50, identical with the later published Polo 1, is thus the ancestor of the Audi A1 since evolved from this series of the popular Polo, is built on the fifth deck of the A1.
A1 e -tron

The only turbocharged petrol and diesel engines will be offered with dual clutch transmissions.
A supercharged 1.4 TFSI is for the A1 and A1 Sportback also with 103 kW ( 140 hp) and cylinder deactivation available, the 2.0 TDI with 105 kW ( 143 hp ), which is already available from the two-door model since August 2011, can since the end of April 2012, be ordered from the Sportback.
