Balıkesirspor

Balikesirspor is a Turkish football club from the north- western Anatolian city of Balıkesir. Their home games discharged from the Red and Whites in Balikesir Ataturk Stadium. The club played in the 1975-76 season in the Superliga and is located in the Eternal Table of the Süper Lig on the 64th Place.

History

Balikesirspor was founded in 1966 by the merger of the clubs Balıkesir İdman Yurdu, Balıkesir İdmanbirliği, Balıkesir İdmangücü, Balıkesir Karesi, Akıncılar Gençlik, Alti Eylül, Yıldırımspor, Egespor, Güven Ege and Doğan Hilâl in Balıkesir. For the season 1967/68 the club in the second highest Turkish league, which today TFF 1 Lig was recorded and finished in the very first season the third place. From then on they played eight years in this league and missed a few times as a table runner promotion to the Süper Lig At the end of the season 1974/75 reached you the long-awaited championship of TFF 1 Lig and thus the direct promotion to the Süper Lig A considerable part of this success has been awarded to the striker Özer Umdu, the (English: Golden header ) by its major headed goals nicknamed Altın Kafa received. It was 1978/79 during his tenure at Adanaspor scorer in the Süper Lig and is now one of the major players in the club's history.

In the Süper Lig ascended you finished the first half of the 1975/76 season as surprisingly in fourth. In the second half we saw a large power reduction and missed the league. Then they played ten years second-rate, and then rose from the third highest Turkish league.

After being active in the fourth- highest division in the years 2006 to 2010, rose again in the second TFF Lig. Here you missed in the 2011/12 season promotion to the TFF 1 Lig only in the relegation round. In the 2012/13 season is finally made as a master of TFF Lig 2 (white group) the long-awaited promotion to the TFF 1 Lig
