Banco Popolare

Banco Popolare is a financial company from Italy, based in Verona. The company is listed on the FTSE MIB financial index.

The company provides financial services of various kinds, such as bank accounts, loans or credits.

History

Banco Popolare di Verona e Novara was on 1 June 2002 by the merger of banks Banca Popolare di Verona ( BPV) and Banca Popolare di Novara (BPN ).

In October 2006, it became known that the BPVN the company Banca Popolare Italiana (BPI ) takes over for 8.2 billion euros, which is the largest co-operative bank Banco Popolare new company name in Italy.

Banca Popolare di Verona ( BPV) was founded on 21 June 1867. In 1983, the BPV, the financial institution Banca A. Tamai in Spilimbergo and 1989 Banca Popolare di Arzignano and Banca Popolare di Castiglione delle Stiviere. In 1993 the financial companies Banco S. Geminianus e S. Prospero was taken. BPV acquired further Credito Bergamasco, 1999, the financial companies Leasimpresa and early 2000 Banca Aletti & C.

Since 2007, Banco Popolare also has its own bank in the Czech Republic after 2007, the IC Banka has been adopted. Banco Popolare builds your presence also in Hungary, Romania and Croatia.
