Barbara Cubin

Barbara Lynn Cubin ( born November 30, 1946 in Salinas, California) is an American politician of the Republican Party.

After visiting the Natrona County High School in Casper Cubin studied at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. There she took her degree in 1969, after which she worked as a teacher and social worker among others.

From 1987 to 1991 she was a Member of the House of Representatives from Wyoming; between 1992 and 1994 she served on the Senate of the State. From 1995 to 2009 was Cubin Member of the U.S. House of Representatives for the state of Wyoming, where she prevailed in the Republican Primary against eight rivals. In the actual election, she won with a vote share of 53 percent to Democrat Bob Schuster. She is the first woman ever, who represented Wyoming in the U.S. Congress. After multiple re-election, they did not occur at the time of the 2008 election; their was succeeded on January 3, 2009 Cynthia Lummis.
