Reception

Criticism

The HiFi magazine Audio ruled on the compilation: "The Prophet does not count in their own country - this experience had the Hanoverian hard rockers Scorpions make. They have plenty of success - in the U.S. or England, even in faraway Japan. The country people now remains the possibility to reduce existing prejudices with this outstanding compilation. Over an hour of rock at its best. Guys, Still Loving You. "

Holger Stratmann wrote in rock magazine Rock Hard, "The precious Rocker Jacket symbolic depends on the mic stand. Yes, it seems the Scorpions are the sympathetic Sauber men that rock, but never cross the line is. Just the sound: crunching, but always crystal clear guitars, soulful ballads, good tunes - no mess! And that's a good thing, because nasty bad boys from LA and aggressive Power combos that can play the muscles, there are plenty of them. Nevertheless, the Who Cover ' Can not Explain ' ( the only new track on the album ) I would have liked from such a band, and finally the Who were in the best of times and the Allerwildesten. The Scorp solve their task good, but the number does not fit in them. So that's been published only on single and Scorps fans long-awaited Hey You, the absolute highlight of the album. Better and catchy can not get any more! The rest is what such " best-of " called - twelve Scorpions hits churning out that I need not enumerate here, as everyone knows and loves anyway (well, almost everyone ). However, one should keep away from the original versions ( a track like Is There Anybody There could be a remix only worsen, and it is then - too perfect ), otherwise Best Of Rockers N ' Ballads is a beautiful gift album. What a luck ( chance? ? ) That it appeared just before Christmas ... ".
