Matthias Jabs

Matthias Jabs ( born October 25, 1955 in Hannover ) is a German guitarist and since 1978 member of the German hard rock band Scorpions.

Career

Matthias Jabs spent several semesters studying law and played in Hannover in the bands Fargo, deadlock and Lady before joining in 1978 the Scorpions, as lead guitarist. He beat out over 100 competitors, the three days tested the Scorpions in London. Matthias Jabs got the job and took over the heavy succession of legendary guitarist Uli Jon Roth, the band's style helped to shape decisively in the 1970s. Shortly after joining, he recorded the album with the Scorpions Love Drive. A little later his career in 1979 but was already over.
