BMW K 75
The BMW K 75 was both a motorcycle series from BMW as well as the designation of the basic model in the series. In the years 1985 to 1996, that was equipped with a past three-cylinder in-line engine, built. Technically and visually based on the K 75, two years older K100 models. Reduced by one -cylinder engine is equipped with balance shafts, to compensate for the vibration. In contrast to many other motorcycles, in which the transmission and clutch are fitted to the motor housing, in which K 75, these parts ( as is usual in the car) separated from each other. The engine has two valves per cylinder, the engine capacity is 740 cc, the power of 55 kW/75 hp at 8500 rpm. In contrast to the K 100 K was 75 with an engine with four valves never offered. The K 75 RT has been used because of their reliability by many states in the police service, also had the Bundeswehr to 2004 K 75 as escort motorcycle in the military police in action.
