Bologna Airport (Italian: Aeroporto di Bologna - Borgo Panigale " Guglielmo Marconi ") is the airport of the Italian city of Bologna. It is located 6 km north- west of the city in the Emilia - Romagna, located about 200 km southeast of Milan. The name Guglielmo Marconi refers to the well-known physicist.

History

The first airfield was located since 1913 in Bologna Prati di Caprara. 1931 at the initiative of the Aero Club of Bologna Borgo Panigale after the installation, where the airport is today. The first scheduled flights were offered in 1933 by Avio Linee Italiane, three years later by Ala Littoria. During the Second bored War II he served as a military airfield. In the early 1960s, the airport was expanded.
