Botswana national football team

Botswana's national football team, the The Zebras ( " The Zebras " ) is called, is the football national team of Botswana and is controlled by the Botswana Football Association.

Botswana has never participated in the Soccer World Cup. The greatest success was to qualify for the African Cup in 2012. In the qualification Botswana had to compete against their neighbors South Africa, the Central African Republic and Ethiopia and had initially no chance to qualify after the 1-2 home defeat on June 8, 2013 against Ethiopia. The 2-1 victory by Ethiopia but was converted by FIFA on 1 July 2013 in a 3-0 to Botswana since Ethiopia had with Minyahile Teshome Beyene used a player who was suspended after 2 yellow cards.
