2013 COSAFA Cup

The COSAFA Senior Challenge 2013 was held from 6 to 20 July 2013 Zambia instead. There is a senior after the cancellation of the COSAFA Challenge 2010 and due to financial problems not conducted tournaments in 2011 and 2012, the first alignment since 2009.

13 teams from South Africa ( as well as others with guest right ) played for the title of " Master of the Southern Africa" ​​.

Preliminary / Qualifying

The national teams of the Comoros and Madagascar have not signed up for the tournament. Instead, the Kenyan national football team and the Tanzanian national football team were invited as guest teams.

On May 17, 2013, Tanzania has canceled the participation. On May 20 it was announced that the Equatorial Guinean national football team will replace the team from Tanzania. On 24 June 2013 Equatorial Guinea to participate due to financial problems also canceled.

The six teams with the highest position in the FIFA world rankings had automatically qualified for the quarter-final stage. The other participants had to compete in a group stage.

The games in Group A took place between the 6th and 10th of July in Lusaka, with the exception of a game in Kitwe, instead.

Group B

Final round
