2002 COSAFA Cup
The sixth edition of COSAFA Cups, officially COSAFA Castle Cup in 2002, was held to 28 September 2002 of 5 May. Eight teams from the South African space played for the title of South Africa champion. South Africa won his first title. The preliminary round was held until April 21 from March 16. Madagascar for the first time took part in the tournament.
Game Mode
For the final round of the tournament, the top four of the last tournament qualified automatically. The remaining eight participants were playing in the first round, the four winners of which qualified for the finals. The tournament was continued in all-in - system.
1 round / qualification
The first round took place until 21 April 2002 of 16 March. Madagascar, South Africa, Mozambique and Swaziland were able to qualify for the finals.
