Boxing at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's heavyweight

The boxing competition in the heavyweight division of men ( to 91 kg) at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from 1st to 12th August 2012 at the Exhibition Centre London. 15 boxers participated.

The competition was held in the knockout system. We started with knockout round, which included 16 places. Since only 15 qualified boxer, one of the athletes got a bye. The winners came into the quarter- finals and semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals competing for the gold medal, both losers received the bronze medal.

The Iranians Mazaheri cashed in his fight within 56 seconds of three warnings by the German referee Frank Scharmach, leading by the regulations of AIBA to disqualification. Scharmach was suspended by the Association, because he had the warnings spoken too quickly.
