Brandon Hunter

Brandon Lamar Hunter (* November 24, 1980 in Cincinnati, Ohio ) is an American professional basketball player. After a successful basketball career in the College Football NCAA Hunter could not establish itself in the most highly endowed professional league NBA. Since 2006 he has played in several European leagues, in addition to three years in Italy and one season in the National Basketball League 2011/12 for the BBC from Bayreuth in the German Basketball Bundesliga. Since the beginning of April 2013 Hunter is the French second division ALM Evreux in LNB Pro B under contract.

Career

College (1999 to 2003)

After graduating from Withrow High School in his hometown Hunter moved in 1999 to study at the Ohio University in Athens ( Ohio), where he played for the Bobcats in the Mid- American Conference (MAC ) of the NCAA. In his four-year collegiate career Hunter scored numerous personal bests not only for the Bobcats, but also within the entire MAC, in which he was up on his first year three times elected to the " First Team " of the five best players. With over 2,000 career points and achieved over 1,000 rebounds he belongs to a relatively exclusive group of basketball players in the NCAA. For the Bobcats, he has played with, among others, the later basketball league players Patrick Flomo and Steven ester Kamp. A qualification for the national finals of the NCAA, however, never succeeded in these years.

NBA and CBA (2003 to 2006)

Hunter was selected Draft in the second round in 2003 to a total of 56 instead of the Boston Celtics in the NBA. As a rookie, he completed a total of 36 season games with a bit of ten-minute operating time per game and was also involved in the play-offs, as the Celtics were eliminated in the first round against the Indiana Pacers. Then the Celtics for the Expansion Draft the Charlotte Bobcats who chose Hunter for their first season also featured him. Here he completed again at a slightly lower operating time per game 31 season games before he was discharged to the following season in a player exchange to the Orlando Magic, but not inserting Hunter. This therefore completed the 2005/ 06 first in CBA club Skyforce from Sioux Falls, before he left his homeland in January 2006.

Launch in Europe in Italy (2006 to 2009)

In January 2006, Hunter got a short-term contract with the European giants Panathinaikos in Greece, for he graduated from the few missions. Then in March 2006, he got a contract for the rest of the season with the Italian first division Carpisa basket of Naples. In the play-off semi-final series for the championship, the team was eliminated by the main round First Climamio Bologna. For the following season, he moved on to league rivals from Livorno, who had at the end of the season not only to have the worst record of all athletic teams, but deducted two points for financial irregularities were and descended as Table. Israel, Turkey and Germany (since 2009)

In the season 2009/10 Hunter then got a contract with Hapoel Jerusalem in the Israeli Ligat ha Al, who were advancing on the international level through to the quarter-finals of the second most important European club competition Eurocup 2009/10, where in the knockout playing the German first division and eventual finalists Alba Berlin defeated. On leaving the quarter-finals was Hunter best scorer of all players in this round and the "Most Valuable Player " of the quarter-final first leg. In the national championship they lost in the Final Four tournament as the main round Second semi-final against eventual champion Hapoel Gilboa Galil surprise.

In the season 2010/11 Hunter was initially active in the Türkiye Ligi Basketbol for Aliağa Petkim from Izmir. This team was due to a permanent change of players hardly successes and Hunter left the club early March 2011 and moved to Latvia to the basketball club from Ventspils. However, this association lost the semi-final and small final for the third place in the Baltic Basketball League against the Lithuanian Zalgiris Kaunas and Lietuvos top clubs Rytas Vilnius as well as the national championship final series against BK VEF Rīga. In the third UEFA club competition Euro Challenge is retired in the quarterfinal series.

For the Basketball Bundesliga 2011/12 Hunter then got a contract with the previous year's BBC Bayreuth climber who reached the league again. Hunter was able to meet only partially the expectations placed in him with just under nine points and six rebounds per game. In the season 2012/13 he was again in Israel Hapoel Gilboa Galil contract with the north- east of Israel. In January 2013 they separated and Hunter joined the French first division Orléans Loiret. After two months, the re- separation and early April followed Hunter joined the second division of Évreux.
