Brøndby IF

The Brøndby Idrætsforening ( German sports club Brøndby ) from Brøndby, a suburb of Copenhagen, is a well known abroad as the Danish football club. With ten championships in twenty years, six cup victories and numerous successful European Cup appearances the club is one of the most successful Danish clubs in the recent past. The motto of the club is Latin: Supra Societatem Nemo (Eng. " No one is above the Community ").

History

On 3 December 1964, the two ambitious but lower class neighborhood clubs Brøndbyøster IF and IF Brøndbyvester merged to Brøndby Idrætsforening and took the game mode in the regional Sjællandske Series 1 ( the second division of the island of Zealand ). From the beginning, the club sought to rise to athletic and relied heavily on youth work (Brøndby exhibits regularly in several age classes of the national youth champion ). Visions of the Future

In 2004, the club's management Hoje Taastrup decided to build a multi-purpose arena. The construction of the Hans Christian Andersen Park Arena, however, was not realized until today. Instead, the Brøndby Stadium is now gradually expanded.

In addition, Brøndby IF has a new sports boarding school for up to 300 young people opened on 1 March 2005 under the name Brøndby high school in order to intensify the youth work.
