Brownsburg is a town in Hendricks County, Indiana in the USA.
History
The city was founded in 1824 by a settler from Kentucky - James B. Brown - goes on his person, the name of the settlement back. 1828, the first primary school was opened in the beginning consisted of only one room. In 1863 the estate was divided. The northern part retained its ancestral name was called and continues to Brown Township. The southern part, however, was renamed in Lincoln Township, in recognition of Abraham Lincoln for his achievements in the American Civil War. In 1820, the city was connected to the stagecoach with Indianapolis. 1835, the two settlements Harrisburg have been renamed. The name comes from a wealthy timber merchant, who settled in the city.
